Timothy Kirk Harrington, 53, of Madrid, Iowa, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2024. Born on August 12, 1970 in Shiloh Valley Township, IL, he was a cherished member of his family and loved deeply by many.
Tim is survived by his wife, Jennifer Harrington, his son, Kirk Harrington with his wife, Brittany and grandchildren, Holdin and Alex. His stepchildren, Jordan Deaton, Nathanael Stover, and Makenna Stover. They will forever hold his memory in their hearts. Tim leaves behind a legacy of love and is also mourned by his brothers, Mark and John Harrington, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nadine Harrington, and brothers, Rob and Jeff Harrington.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Tim would describe him as a loving and hardworking individual, endowed with creativity and a readiness to help others. His love for the outdoors was unparalleled, finding solace in hunting, camping, and fishing. Tim was an avid supporter of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers, and he deeply valued Native American spiritual beliefs. His presence in the recovery community was a source of inspiration, and his favorite sanctuary was his home on his own land.
Professionally, Tim dedicated himself as a plumber steamfitter for Local 33, where his diligence and skill were greatly respected.
A time to honor and celebrate Tim's life will be held from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2024 at the Madrid Community Room (303 S. Water St., Madrid, IA 50156).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Harrington family. The caring staff at Ouellette Funeral and Cremation Care in Des Moines, IA, is facilitating the arrangements for the family during this time.
