Robert Linn Dalton

Robert Linn Dalton a.k.a. "Bobby D" is preceded in death by his dad, Kenneth Dalton, mother Alice Marie Dalton, sister, Diane Schofield and brother, Marty Dalton. 

He is survived by his stepmother, Joyce Dalton, sister, Twyla Johnson (Bill), brother, Kenny Valadez, wife Sarah Dalton, children; Robert James Dalton (Stacy), Jesse James Dalton (Terrynn), Tashema Marie Dalton, Nicole Jean Dalton, and Leiran Olson,  grandchildren;  Memphis Copic (15) Dalton Copic (13), Zyla Dalton (8) and Julianna Dalton (4). 

Bobby built pools for many years alongside his dad and many of his cousins. He also did insulation for a living towards the end, he had many skills. If it was broke, he could probably fix it. Bobby was a long time member of the southside cares.  Bobby enjoyed the outdoors, he loved taking his kids and grandkids to baseball games and to the fair It was kind of a ritual for many years.  Bobby loved NFL football, he was a lifetime fan of the Chiefs and the Hawkeyes. During the season you knew where you could find him, in front of a TV or at Gary and Annie Speck‘s garage. Bobby loved life and he loved playing hard, he did that until the very end.

He will be missed by his family and friends dearly. We are sending him out with lots of love! 

A celebration of life will be held at the American Legion Post #731 (1511 South Union, Des Moines, IA 50315)  at 3 o’clock on September 19, 2021. We are having a potluck for anyone interested in bringing food.

Come say so long for now Bobby D but never goodbye you’ll be loved forever and missed.
