Marjorie Rohlf, 88, passed away with her family by her side on Monday, April 11, 2022 at Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny, IA. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Monday, April 18, 2022 at Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church (510 E. 1st St., Ankeny, IA 50021) The Catholic Daughters will recite the Rosary at 9:00 and the family will greet friends beginning at 9:30 am. Marjorie was born on January 2, 1934 to John and Agatha Kollasch. She graduated from St. Cecelia’s Academy as the class Valedictorian in 1951. Marjorie was a faithful member of Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church where she served as an organist for many years. She also served as an organist at St. Mary – Holy Cross Parish. Marj was a true advocate for people with intellectual disabilities and worked as an aid on a school bus caring for handicapped children in Ankeny.
Marjorie is survived by her son, Michael (Kimberly) Rohlf of Ankeny, IA , four grandchildren; Katelyn (Brandon) Neil, Cody (Rachel) Rohlf, Alexander Hutchins and David Hutchins, two great grandchildren; Truman Neil, Graham Neil and sister, Norrine Coleman.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John & Agatha Kollasch, siblings Eleanor Berte, Sr. Mary Marita Kollasch, Ruth Kohlhaas, Marvin Kollasch, husband, Virgil Rohlf, daughter, Vicki Hutchins, son, Kenneth Rohlf and son, Brian Rohlf.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Link Associates, Ankeny Conference of St. Vincent DePaul or St. Mary – Holy Cross Parish.
