Karen M. (Case) Gerstorff

Karen M. (Case) Gerstorff 63, Greenfield, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday May 9, 2023, at Adair County Hospital. She was born in Marion, Indiana on August 2, 1959, to Jack and Judith (Evans) Case.  She married the love of her life, James Gerstorff on February 24, 1996, who survives.

Karen graduated in 1977 from Marion High School. She was a Homemaker. Karen loved and collected anything Pioneer Woman themed, she looked forward to her Saturday trip to Wal-Mart with James. She also enjoyed Fishing and reading.  Karen loved spending time with her family, they meant the world to her.

Karen is survived by her husband of 27 years, Her children, Jermey Barr, Honolulu, HI, Christina Carpenter, Peru, IN and James Roy (JR) Gerstorff, Gas City, IN and Summer Barr, Wabash, IN. Sisters:  Donna (Danny) Harrell, LaFontaine, IN Kelly (Mike) Timmerman, Somerset, IN Denise Taylor, Marion, IN Brother: Scott (Angie) Case, Lafontaine, IN.  Grandchildren: Cierra Carpenter, Frances Barr, Cameron Gerstorff, Easton House, Casey Gerstorff, and Kohen Barr and many nieces and nephews whom all loved here dearly. Karen will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law Ida Boughman, Sisters Cynthia Blakely and Jacqueline Shrontz and her Niece Catherine Timmerman.

Per Karen’s request there will be no funeral service.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Ouellette Funeral and Cremation Care, Des Moines, IA.
