Donna Mae Liverance

Donna Mae Liverance, 81, formerly of Waterloo, Iowa, passed away on September 1, 2023, surrounded by family at her home in Grimes, Iowa. Memorial services will take place on Wednesday, September 6 at Grace Baptist Church, 3820 Hammond Ave, Waterloo, IA. A visitation will begin at 9:30 am with a Celebration of Life at 10:30, followed by a luncheon.  A private family graveside service will follow.
 
Donna was born to Pete and Alma (Sanders) Grekoff in Waterloo, Iowa on November 16, 1941. She was the oldest of 3 children. Donna graduated from Waterloo West High School and continued her education at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois.  In 1960 she married Francis (Delvin) Liverance, the love of her life and best friend for the past 62 years.  Delvin and Donna lived most of their lives in the Waterloo area before moving to Grimes in 2021.
 
Having accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at the age of 10, Donna’s life was marked with service to God and reaching others for Christ. This included teaching Good News Clubs, Sunday School (primarily Junior High), Appleseeds, Awanas and numerous one-on-one discipleship relationships.  One of her greatest blessings in life was seeing all her children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren following Jesus, a testament to her faithfulness. 3 John 1:4

Donna will be deeply missed by her husband, Delvin Liverance of Grimes, Iowa; her children: Dawn (Jim) Andreassen of Polk City, Iowa; Deb (Tony) Huegel of Grimes; and David (Joanna) Liverance of Waterloo. Grandchildren: Danielle (Ben), Jaclyn, Emily (Jack), Ashlyn, Alicia (Jakob) and Jordan; and seven great-grandchildren: Olivia, Gwendolyn, Jameson, Adleigh, Ellarose, Oliver and Theodore. Brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Phyllis Swanson, Eugene (Thelma) Liverance and Alice Gates, and many nephews and nieces.  
 
Donna was preceded in death by her parents: Pete and Alma Grekoff; parents-in-law: Francis and Irene Liverance; brother Donald (Linda) Grekoff and sister Shirley (Jim) Atkinson; and brothers-in-law Donald Swanson and John Gates.
