Brian Bly

Brian Merritt Bly, 50, of Lamoni, Iowa passed away on February 21, 2022 with his family by his side at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, IA.  

Brian was born December 21, 1971 to Charles and Gwendolyn (Koons) Bly in Des Moines, IA.  

Brian Bly was a charismatic loving man. He was the first person to give everything he had to seek happiness for others. Brian loved the outdoors. When he was not helping others, he was enjoying a day under the sun, catching a fish, or simply gazing into a campfire. Brian loved his family and adored his children.   Brian would wish that you celebrate everyday that you can and enjoy the little things. When you feel the sun think of Brian Bly

He is survived by his sons Cameron Bly Chance Bly, Joshua Isley,  daughters Amber Post and Sarah Post, sister Chrissy (Rick) Drake, sister Rhonda (Wesley) Hosler,  brother Steve Franz, nieces and nephews and three grandchildren and many friends that were his extended family.  Brian was proceeded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
